Suppose two consecutive legs of your parlay are played at the same time:

• A = the first simultaneous selection in your parlay
• B = the second simultaneous selection in your parlay

Normally, Parlay Finder would let you cover A first, then cover B only if A wins.

When both events start together, that is not possible. You need to prepare in advance for the three relevant outcomes:

1. A wins and B wins
   The parlay survives and continues.
2. A loses
   The parlay loses immediately, regardless of what happens in B.
3. A wins and B loses
   The parlay loses on the second simultaneous leg.

These three scenarios cover every possible result that matters for the parlay.

The two simultaneous legs are covered as a single block, with one hedge for each way the block can lose. Every hedge is placed before the games start:

1. A × B — A and B both win: the parlay survives and continues.
2. A′ — A loses: the opposite of A wins, placed as a single bet (at another sportsbook or on ProphetX). This is the normal hedge for leg A.
3. A × B′ — A wins but B loses: a combo wins, that is, a parlay at one sportsbook made of the original selection for A and the opposite of B.

The hedge stakes are sized like a dutch: whichever of the three scenarios happens, the result is the same. It is the hedge setup with 3 outcomes you could already build by hand in the Calculator; now Parlay Finder works it out for you.

What It Costs

When you cover one leg at a time, you place the hedge for B only if A has won. In a block you place every cover up front, so the combo is lost even when A loses. That is why the profit is a little lower than with the sequential hedge: the gap is small when A is a heavy favorite and grows when A is closer to a toss-up. The Preview shows you the result before you confirm, so you can decide whether to link the legs or swap one of the games.

1. Add the legs from the Bet Finder tab of Parlay Finder. That way the tool knows which game and which outcome you picked, and it can look up the prices of the hedges. A leg you typed in can still be linked, but you enter its hedge prices yourself.
2. Find the link button. When two adjacent legs start less than the minimum gap apart (Settings → Minimum gap between games, 2 hours by default), the red warning “WARNING! Some selected events start within less than 2 hours of each other!” appears and the Link legs 1 and 2 button shows up between the two rows. The same action also sits on the warning: Link them.
3. Choose the hedges in the “Link legs 1–2” window. At the top is the Preview: the profit in every scenario and the rating, updated as you change your picks. Below it there is one column per hedge:
   • Opposite of leg 1: the best prices for the opposite of A, at sportsbooks and on ProphetX. Each row shows the sportsbook, the game, the outcome and the odds, for example ProphetX · Bills-Jets · Jets @ +150 (2.50). Keep the current cover keeps the one you already had.
   • Combo covering leg 2: the sportsbooks that offer every pick of the combo, with the odds of each pick and the Total, best first.
   Above each column is the amount to bet with the bet type, for example BET $54.00. There is no lay betting in the US, so every hedge is a regular bet, at a sportsbook or on ProphetX. Every column also has Enter by hand (sportsbook and odds), in case you find a better price elsewhere.
4. Confirm with “Link the legs”. Linked legs appears between the two rows, the red warning goes away and the second leg shows the Combo cover with its picks, one per line (for example Bills · Bills-Jets and Browns · Ravens-Browns).
5. Place everything before the games start: the parlay at its sportsbook, the opposite of A, and the combo at the sportsbook shown. If a price has moved in the meantime, correct the Hedge Odds on the row: the stakes are recalculated.
6. Lock the block with the padlock once everything is placed: one lock covers every linked leg.
7. Record it in the Bet Tracker with + Tracker: the Combo cover is saved as a parlay at its sportsbook, with its picks as legs.

To go back to covering one leg at a time, use Unlink: the second leg gets back the cover it had before, or the editor opens so you can set it again.

Three or More Legs at the Same Time

You can link up to 6 consecutive legs: once legs 1 and 2 are linked, the link button also appears between legs 2 and 3. Each extra leg adds a longer combo: for the third leg it is the parlay A × B × C′ (A and B as in your parlay, plus the opposite of C), again at a single sportsbook. Every extra combo has a cost, so in practice the useful blocks are 2 or 3 legs.

3-Way Legs

3-way legs exist only on soccer markets with three outcomes, such as the 3-way moneyline (home, draw, away). A leg covered with two bets (the +/− button, Add a hedge bet (3-Way)) has two opposite outcomes, so it gets two columns in the window, each headed by the outcome it covers, for example Opposite of leg 1 — Draw and Opposite of leg 1 — Away. If it is the first leg of the block, these are two single bets; if it comes later, they are two combos (Combo covering leg 2 — Draw and Combo covering leg 2 — Away), which can be at different sportsbooks.

What Cannot Be Linked

• Locked legs: unlock them before linking.
• Outcomes that have no opposite on their market, such as correct score.
• Legs that do not start within the minimum gap of each other.

• No old hedge still active: if you already placed the normal hedge for the first leg, deal with it before linking. On ProphetX, if it is still a pending offer, cancel it; if it has already Filled, it cannot be cashed out, so factor it into your numbers instead of stacking a second cover on top. At a sportsbook, cash it out if the sportsbook allows it. Otherwise you risk a double hedge.
• Combo at one sportsbook: the picks of the combo go on the same ticket, at the sportsbook shown. Parlay Finder only suggests sportsbooks that offer all of them.
• Right games and outcomes: check in the Combo row that every pick names the right game.
• Current odds: if a price changes before you bet, update the Hedge Odds and place the recalculated stake.
• Sportsbook limits: make sure you can bet the amounts required.

If the Parlay Loses in the Block

If A loses, the opposite of A wins; if A wins but B loses, the combo wins. Either way the parlay is finished, and the result is the one Parlay Finder shows in the Scenarios for that leg (the row's tooltip explains which cover wins).

If Both Legs Win

The parlay survives: keep covering the next leg as usual, one at a time. No adjustment is needed: the Parlay Finder figures already account for the hedges of the block.

Parlay Finder does this math for you. The by-hand method is still useful to check the numbers, or when the legs are not in Parlay Finder.

Step 1: Open the Calculator

Open the Calculator and use a hedge setup with 3 outcomes.

Use the same relevant mode and stake assumptions as the parlay operation you are performing.

Step 2: Enter the Main Parlay Scenario

For Outcome 1, enter the combined odds of the two original parlay selections that are played at the same time — this is the parlay price your sportsbook shows for those two legs together.

For example:

• A: Lakers moneyline -200
• B: Chiefs moneyline -125

The combined parlay price for these two legs is +170.

If you want to work it out by hand, convert each price to decimal, multiply, then convert back — this is just an intermediate step, not the odds you enter:

-200 → 1.50, -125 → 1.80, and 1.50 × 1.80 = 2.70, which is +170 in American odds.

You would enter +170 as the first odds value.

Step 3: Enter the Opposite of the First Simultaneous Selection

For Outcome 2, enter the odds of the selection that covers A losing.

Examples:

• If A is a team's moneyline, the opposite is the other team's moneyline (these US markets are 2-way, so there is no draw).
• If A is Over on a totals market (for example, Over 220.5 points), the opposite is Under 220.5 points.
• If A is a player prop over (for example, over 25.5 points), the opposite is the matching under 25.5 points.

This bet is placed as a single bet.

Step 4: Enter the Hedge for “A Wins, B Loses”

For Outcome 3, you need a new parlay made of:

• The same original selection as A
• The opposite selection of B

Because these two selections must be placed together as a parlay, you need to find them on the same sportsbook.

Enter the combined parlay price the sportsbook shows for A × B′ as the third odds value in the Calculator. If you are computing it by hand, multiply the decimal versions of the two prices (odds of A at that sportsbook × odds of B′) and convert the result back to American odds before entering it.

Step 5: Place the Two Hedge Bets

The Calculator will now tell you how much to stake on:

1. The single bet covering A′
2. The parlay bet covering A × B′

Place both bets as shown.

At this point, the simultaneous block is covered.

The logic is the same, but the first odds value must include the earlier parlay legs that have already won.

This is necessary because the original parlay has already increased in value before reaching the simultaneous events.

Step 1: Open the Calculator

Again, use the Calculator with a hedge setup with 3 outcomes.

Step 2: Enter the Full Current Parlay Value

For Outcome 1, enter the combined price of the earlier winning legs plus the two simultaneous selections (earlier winning legs × A × B).

For example:

• Earlier winning leg: -250
• A: -165
• B: -135

The combined price for these three is +292.

If you work it out by hand, convert to decimal and multiply as an intermediate step:

-250 → 1.40, -165 → about 1.60, -135 → about 1.75, and 1.40 × 1.60 × 1.75 = 3.92, which is about +292 in American odds.

You would enter +292 as the first odds value.

Important

The earlier odds are not a new bet. They are included only so the Calculator correctly reflects the current value of the live parlay.

Step 3: Enter the Other Two Scenarios

The other two outcomes are calculated in the same way as before:

• Outcome 2: the opposite of A, placed as a single bet
• Outcome 3: a parlay made of:
  • the original selection for A
  • the opposite selection for B

The Calculator will then show the two hedge stakes to place.

This is the same strategy used when the simultaneous legs are at the beginning of the parlay; only the first odds value changes.

Covering the Two Events One at a Time

If they start together, you cannot wait for the first result: link the legs.

Placing Only Part of the Block

Every hedge of the block has to be placed before the games start, otherwise one scenario is left uncovered.

Splitting the Combo

Betting the picks of the combo as singles, or at different sportsbooks, does not cover the “A wins, B loses” scenario.

Forgetting the Old Cover

If the first leg was already covered the normal way, close that cover before linking: on ProphetX, cancel it while it is still a pending offer.

Unlinking After You Have Placed the Bets

Unlink changes the math: use it only if you have not placed the hedges of the block yet.

When two legs of a parlay start at the same time, you cannot cover them one at a time, but Parlay Finder covers them together:

1. Add the legs from the Bet Finder tab of Parlay Finder.
2. When two legs start together, click Link legs 1 and 2.
3. Pick the opposite of the first leg and the combo while watching the Preview, then click Link the legs.
4. Place the parlay and every hedge before the games start, lock the block and record it in the Bet Tracker.
5. If both legs win, carry on with the next leg as usual.
