Odds converter: American, decimal and fractional odds

Type a price in any box and the converter rewrites it in the other formats at once: American odds such as -110 or +150, decimal odds such as 1.91 or 2.50, fractional odds such as 10/11 or 6/4 and the implied probability, which is also the price in cents of a prediction market contract. Add a stake to see the payout and the profit.

How to use the calculator

  1. 1

    Type the odds you have

Enter the price in the format your sportsbook shows: American, decimal, fractional or a probability in percent or cents.

  2. 2

    Read the other formats

The other three boxes update as you type. American odds are converted exactly, so -110 is 1.9091 and not a rounded 1.91.

  3. 3

    Check payout and break-even

Add a stake to see what the bet pays back and wins. The implied probability is the win rate you need just to break even.

Worked example

The Chiefs are -150 to win. In decimal that is 100/150 + 1 = 1.6667, in fractional 4/6, and the implied probability is 150/(150+100) = 60%. A $30 bet pays back $50.00: your $30 stake plus $20 of profit. At +150 the same $30 would pay back $75.00.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert American odds to decimal?

For positive odds divide by 100 and add 1 (+150 is 2.50). For negative odds divide 100 by the number without the minus sign and add 1 (-110 is 1.9091). The converter does both exactly.

What does -110 mean?

You bet $110 to win $100, or $11 to win $10. In decimal it is 1.9091 and the implied probability is 52.38%: the win rate you need to break even at standard vig.

What is the implied probability of odds?

It is the chance of winning that the price assumes: 1 divided by the decimal odds. Adding up the implied probabilities of every outcome of a game gives more than 100%, and the excess is the sportsbook's vig.

How do prediction market prices compare with odds?

A contract that pays $1 and costs 40¢ implies a 40% chance, which is 2.50 in decimal or +150 in American. Type the price in cents into the probability box to compare it with any sportsbook line.

Why does my converted price look slightly different?

Sportsbooks round prices for display. -110 is exactly 1.909090…, often shown as 1.91; converting 1.91 back gives -110 again. The calculators always work on the exact value and round only what you see.
