When placing a SureBet, the ideal situation is simple: you place every required bet at the stake and odds shown by the calculator.

In practice, this does not always happen. A sportsbook may change the odds, show a lower maximum stake, reject the bet, or suspend the market before you complete the operation.

This is especially important when one side of the SureBet has already been placed. At that point, you cannot simply ignore the problem, because the first bet is already active and the operation may be exposed.

The Bet Not Accepted section helps you manage these situations in a controlled way. It is used when the original SureBet cannot be completed exactly as planned and you need to understand how to cover the remaining exposure using the real amount accepted, the confirmed odds, or another sportsbook.

What does “Bet Not Accepted” mean?

A bet is not accepted when the sportsbook does not allow you to place the bet exactly as required by the SureBet calculation.

This can happen when:

  • the sportsbook rejects the bet completely;
  • the sportsbook shows a lower maximum stake;
  • the sportsbook changes the odds before confirmation;
  • the sportsbook suspends the market;
  • the bet can only be placed at a different amount or odds.

A lower maximum stake shown by the sportsbook is not the same as a placed bet. The lower stake is shown before confirmation, and nothing is placed unless you accept and submit the bet.

For this reason, always check whether the bet was actually placed. If the sportsbook only showed a lower maximum stake, the bet has not been placed yet unless you confirmed that smaller amount.

The Bet Not Accepted section exists to help you manage the operation after a bet has been accepted for a different amount than planned, or when one side of the SureBet has already been placed and the next side cannot be completed as originally calculated.

What can you do if a SureBet stake is not fully accepted?

If no bet has been placed yet

If you have not placed any bet yet, the safest option is usually to skip the opportunity or recalculate the SureBet from the beginning using the maximum stake accepted by the sportsbook. A SureBet only works as planned when all required bets can be placed at the stakes and odds used in the calculator.

If the odds changed before the next bet was placed

If one bet has already been placed and the odds on the next sportsbook change before you submit the second bet, the operation is no longer the same as the original calculation. In this situation, first update the odds directly in the main calculator. The calculator will show the new stake required at the updated odds and the new result for every possible outcome.

You then have two possible options:

  • Place the second bet on the same sportsbook using the updated odds and the new stake shown by the calculator.
  • Look for another sportsbook offering better odds on the same outcome, then update the calculator with those odds before placing the cover bet.

Do not leave the first bet uncovered. If the first bet has already been placed, you still need to complete the operation in the safest available way, even if the final profit is lower than originally expected or the result becomes slightly negative. Before placing the next bet, always check that the updated result is acceptable for every possible outcome.

If the sportsbook allows only a smaller stake

If one bet has already been placed and the next sportsbook allows only a smaller stake, the priority is to cover as much of the open exposure as possible.

For example, if the calculator tells you to place $95 but the sportsbook only allows $50, the $50 is not automatically placed. The sportsbook is only showing the maximum amount it is willing to accept. You must manually confirm and submit the $50 bet.

Once the smaller stake has been placed, the SureBet is still incomplete because part of the required cover has not been placed. At this point, open the Bet Not Accepted section and enter the amount that was actually accepted by the sportsbook. The calculator will help you recalculate the remaining cover. You can then look for another sportsbook offering suitable odds on the same outcome and use the updated calculation to place the residual cover stake. Do not ignore the missing part of the stake. If Bet 1 has already been placed, leaving the second outcome only partially covered can make the operation unbalanced and expose you to a larger loss than expected. Always check the updated result for every possible outcome before continuing.

If the sportsbook changes both the stake and the odds

Sometimes the sportsbook may show a lower maximum stake and also change the odds before you confirm the bet. For example, the calculator may tell you to place $95 at odds of +105, but the sportsbook only allows $50 at odds of +100.

In this case, the first thing to do is update the odds directly in the main calculator. The main calculator should always reflect the odds that are actually available or confirmed for that bet. After updating the odds, the calculator will show the correct stake required at the new odds. If the sportsbook accepts the full updated stake, you can place the bet and you do not need to use the Bet Not Accepted section. If the sportsbook also limits the stake and accepts only a smaller amount, then the operation is still incomplete. In that case, place the smaller amount if the other side of the SureBet has already been placed, then use the Bet Not Accepted section to enter the amount that was actually accepted.

Do not use the original odds or the original stake if the sportsbook changed them. The recovery calculation must always start from the real odds and stake that were actually placed.

If the bet is rejected completely

If the bet is rejected completely after another side has already been placed, the operation is exposed because no amount has been placed on the next outcome. In this case, you need to look for another sportsbook where you can cover the same outcome. Update the calculator with the new sportsbook odds before placing the other bet, so you can see the correct stake and the updated result for every possible outcome.

Since one side has already been placed, you still need to manage the exposure in the safest available way, even if the final result becomes lower than expected or negative.

How to use the Bet Not Accepted section

Use the Bet Not Accepted section when at least one part of the SureBet has already been placed and another sportsbook does not accept the next stake as originally calculated.

This happens when the sportsbook shows a lower maximum stake than the one required by the calculator. In that situation, remember that the smaller amount has not been placed automatically. The sportsbook is only showing the maximum stake it is willing to accept.

If another side of the SureBet has already been placed, the priority is to reduce the open exposure. You should place the maximum amount accepted by the sportsbook, then use the Bet Not Accepted section to calculate how to cover the remaining part of the operation.

Then follow these steps:

  1. Check whether the sportsbook accepted a smaller stake or rejected the bet completely.
  2. If the sportsbook offered a lower maximum stake, submit the smaller amount only after confirming the odds shown by the sportsbook.
  3. If the smaller amount was placed successfully, enter the amount that was actually accepted.
  4. If the odds changed before the smaller amount was placed, update those odds in the main calculator first.
  5. Use the Bet Not Accepted section to calculate the remaining cover that still needs to be placed.
  6. Look for another sportsbook offering suitable odds on the same outcome, if needed.
  7. Review the updated profit or loss for every possible outcome.

The most important point is this: only enter an amount that was actually placed successfully. If the sportsbook showed a maximum stake but you did not submit the bet, do not enter that amount as accepted.

If the only problem is that the odds changed before the next bet was placed, you may not need the Bet Not Accepted section. In that case, update the odds directly in the main calculator and follow the new stake shown there.

The Bet Not Accepted section is used when the required stake could not be placed in full and you need to calculate the residual cover.

Example

Suppose the SureBet Calculator gives you this operation:

  • Bet 1: $100 at odds of -476 on Sportsbook 1.
  • Bet 2: $19 at odds of +550 on Sportsbook 2.

You place Bet 1 successfully.

Then you try to place Bet 2, but Sportsbook 2 shows a maximum allowed stake of $10 instead of $19.

At this point, the $19 has not been placed automatically. The sportsbook is simply telling you that $10 is the maximum it is willing to accept.

Because Bet 1 is already active, the priority is to cover as much of the open exposure as possible. You submit the $10 bet, after checking that the odds are still correct.

The original SureBet is still incomplete, because Bet 2 was supposed to be $19 but only $10 was accepted. This means part of the required cover has not been placed.

You should now open the Bet Not Accepted section and enter:

  • $10 as the amount actually accepted;
  • the new odds available for the remaining cover.

The calculator will then show the updated situation and help you calculate the residual cover. You can then look for another sportsbook offering suitable odds on the same outcome and use the updated calculation to place the remaining cover stake. Do not ignore the missing part of the stake. Once Bet 1 has been placed, leaving the second outcome only partially covered can expose you to a larger loss than expected.

Important checks and common mistakes to avoid

Enter the accepted amount, not the rejected amount

This is the most important point. The calculator needs to know how much of the bet was actually accepted by the sportsbook. If you enter the amount that was rejected or missing, the recalculation will be wrong.

Do not continue without recalculating

If one sportsbook accepts a smaller amount than expected, the original SureBet is no longer the same. Always recalculate before placing any additional bets.

Re-check the odds before submitting

The new calculation is only correct if the odds entered in NinjaBet match the odds actually available on the sportsbook when you place the bet.

Do not assume the SureBet is still profitable

A SureBet can stop being profitable if one stake is limited, some of the odds change, or one side cannot be placed correctly. The fact that the original calculation was positive does not mean the updated operation is still positive.

Use the main calculator when only the odds changed

If the next bet has not been placed yet and only the odds changed, update the odds directly in the main calculator. Use Bet Not Accepted when part of the operation has already been placed and the accepted stake is different from the original calculation.

Use another sportsbook only after recalculating

If you need to cover the remaining amount on another sportsbook, do not guess the stake. Use the calculator to check the new odds, the remaining exposure and the updated scenarios.

Final summary

The Bet Not Accepted section helps you manage a SureBet when one sportsbook does not accept the stake exactly as required by the original calculation.

Before doing anything, always check whether the bet was actually placed. If the sportsbook only shows a lower maximum stake, nothing has been placed unless you confirm and submit that smaller amount.

If no bet has been placed yet, you can skip the opportunity or recalculate from the beginning. If one side has already been placed, you need to manage the exposure: update the odds in the main calculator if the odds changed, or use the Bet Not Accepted section if a smaller stake was accepted and part of the cover is still missing.

Always review the updated result for every possible outcome before continuing. The final result may be different from the original SureBet, but the goal is to bring the operation back under control.
